4/16/2009 - First things first! |
I have a website that has been kinda just hangin' around, and not doing too much. I need help. I have a few friends that I have propositioned, but they haven't had any time.
So, for those of you who are good with words, I need someone that can write about 10 stories a week for me, having to be related to collections agencies and other information along that topic.
If you want to make an additional $200 a month (50 a week) for writing articles for me, that would be awesome!
Let me know if you are interested!

7/25/2008 - It works!!!! |
Ok, so the new blogging system is in, and it seems to be working quite well so far. Hopefully I don't end up having too many issues with this thing, but it should be able to increase traffic over the next few months.

5/29/2008 - Updates |
Just so everyone knows, i'm going to be working on updating the site with some new 'code'. It should end up making the site a bit more search engine friendly.
So, if things seems a little weird at times, don't worry about it. It's just me.

5/4/2006 - New Software |
I'm testing out this new software that makes it easier for me to format and enter new blog entries. It might end up acting a little whacky from time to time, so i'm just using this as a test run.

12/6/2005 - Wow, big ups to cousin Fran |
Yeah, I know, i'm gonna get some crap for this one.
There is a website run by a guy named Tucker Max. This guy is very amusing with all of his great antics, you may have heard something on TV or radio about Miss Vermont suing him for lying on his website about the relationship they had once had a few years ago.
His site, is pretty funny, and quite wrong. But the funny out weighs the wrong, that I can't help but go back and re-read some of his stories.
Now to the reason why I even decided to write anything today. I was on The Tucker Max site, and saw a link to a place called, get this, the tard blog. And yes, it is exactly that. A blog about a teacher's day by day journal of being a special ed teacher.
I just sit and wonder, how in god's name does my cousin Fran deal with this kind of stuff? Links to follow.

7/23/2005 - The Best Page In The Universe dot Com |
This is a website that has been around for quite some time. The guy is very amusing, and just reading through his daily posts aka 'blogs', I now believe he is my hero.
He makes a great point in the following post that bloggers are now totally going overboard, links, banner ads, etc. I personally can't stand banner ads on a site, but if used minimally, I can handle it. If it starts going overboard with three different banner ads, and a pop up, well, I guess that's a little much. I guess it's ok if you make a little side money if it doesn't interfere with the layout of the site.
Check out the blog for yourself.

4/27/2005 - New Design |
So i'm pretty pumped with the new design. You know how I love to use lots of lavish colors in my site. I have to archive all of my old stuff, but I'll start doing that once I get a little time.
The thing about the new site is that it is almost completely database driven. I have spent a lot of time working with asp, and thought might as well put my powers to good use. I am very impressed with how some people put together their sites, but can tend to get a little lazy when putting it together with something like 'blogger'. Not much talent needed there, especially when some people just use the built in templates.
Anyway, i'll start working on all the other pages once I get the time. Looks like this will be the lone page for now. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to New Design |
2/24/2005 - Ok, winter is back |
The snow is coming down, and the streets already have a nice pretty blanket of snow. I guess winter isn't gone after all. PRAISE THE LORD!
Sorry I haven't been updating. I have been trying to design this 'blog' software and kinda lost track of time. New site should be ready to go very soon.

1/3/2005 - Happy New Year |
Been a wild holiday season. Haven't had much time to update, working on a few other things.
JakeSiegel.com is currently going over quite the overhaul. JakeSiegel.com is going to be my professional / business site to make a shit ton of money.
Soon, all of my photo galleries / blog and all that other cool stuffs will be hosted at JakeNY.com. Makes it much easier for my friends and family to type now. Most can't even spell my last name properly.
I should be moving over to the new servers within a month or two. If you want, you can actually start going to JakeNY.com, i'll redirect to this server until the new site is completed.
On top of that, I got a guitar for Christmas. Which totally rocks. I'm starting to learn a lot, very quickly. Mainly just a few chords, and how to go back and forth from one chord to the next in a decent amount of time. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Happy New Year |
12/11/2004 - Quick Update |
For the past 2 nights I have been working on 'blogging' software. Also known as web logging. I have a 'blog', but I don't use any special software or pre-packaged crap everyone else uses. I manually update all my pages by hand using HTML or Dreamweaver.
Now I have a created a database and login page to allow me to update the page dynamically from anywhere I want to. I just have to work out all the kinks. I guess it's the downfall to not being lazy. Wish me luck on this one. To properly implement this new system, I am going to have to go with a redesign while I am at it. To make it easier for people to navigate.
I like the site as is, but there are too many scrollbars, it even pisses me off sometimes.

Take 3 minutes to read the following story. It'll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

12 / 06 / 04 - Mountains and other stuff
Next week will be the first weekend of the season that I get to hit the mountains and try out my new board and bindings. Hopefully it's nice and cold so I can get all psyched for the season. My brother got me an MP3 player for my birthday, and i'll have an awesome time shredding to some tunes.
Doing a little reading on different websites (blogs if you will), and I ran into this one site that had a great log about the fact of Baseball players using performance enhancing drugs.
Story was posted on Friday the 3rd of December if you are reading this long after I have posted. Check it out for yourself, and when you are done pissing yourself, feel free to drop me an email. JakeNY@att.net.
Some of these blogs are absolutely terrible, and some people have absolutely no sense of being unique. It's just crazy how easy it is for people to build a website nowadays (is that all one word?).
Beyond that, I got in touch with an old friend (who I miss very much), and she sent me a link to a song that is from a version of play of The Silence of the Lambs. Yes, it is called Silence of the Lambs, The Musical. Very amusing. If anything, you must check out Track #6. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Totally badass dolphins |
