11/2/2011 - Holy Crap!!! |
| Fortunately, and unfortunately, i've been absolutely insane. Let's give everyone a brief update, shall we?
First off, I am now married to the greatest woman I have ever known, and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
I've totally slacked on the Amazon Appstore apps, but once I get the chance, i'll make sure to get some updates going for that!
I've been insanely busy working on a few projects, the biggest and probably one of the best is an apartment project where people can search for apartments / rentals in any area they choose. This one should be pretty awesome though!
We have been watching a few shows religiously lately. The X-Factor is pretty awesome, American Horror Story is strange, but awesome, Whitney is a pretty funny show also, and as usual Glee is pretty good. Haven't seen House in a while, but i'm sure that show is just as awesome as it has always been.
Time to go back to work. Feel free to email me if you have any questions! I'm always around!

5/4/2011 - Call of the Dead |
It is early May, and there has been a new release of a DLC Map Pack in
Call of Duty: Black Ops. There are a total of 4 playable maps in the
online multiplayer and 1 new zombie map. This map has new characters
and it is pretty awesome.
The new zombie map is called Call of
the Dead. It includes 5 new characters (celebrities who have all played
as some sort of villain / badass in a movie), and is by far, the most
frightening zombie map to date. Nazi Zombies from World at War are what
actually got me started playing this game, and it has just grown
increasingly amazing over the past 2 years.
If anyone wants to play some games on the Xbox 360, hit me up. JakeNY376!
Later Gators!

2/10/2011 - Call of Duty: Black Ops |
It's been a few months since I started playing a new game. It's called Call of Duty: Black Ops. I believe there is a 'campaign' in the game which allows you to run around playing against a computer, which i'm sure is fantastic. I just haven't gotten around to playing it yet.
:)
Anyway, great game, totally worth the $60, Zombies are back, and they just released a new pack of maps for the multiplayer game and zombies. They are all pretty fantastic. Hit me up on the 360 if you want to play!

10/15/2010 - OMFG!!! |
Ok, I just logged on to see the last time I logged in and made an update for everyone. But, here's a quick update that I hope fulfills your hunger for a little bit of Jake.
About 3 weekends ago, Damien and Christina got married. The wedding was fabulous, we all had an amazing time, and we couldn't have asked for a better day. A bit warm during the day, but it started to get much better over the course of the day.
I've been insanely busy helping a few websites climb the search engines, and it's been very hard work. I'm still doing work with Anthony on the week to help him automate his Blacktop business, and help him out wherever I can, and it looks like I may be doing a little work for a Non Profit organization and some more work for Keane Development.
Cyn and I are getting into the swing of things with our wedding that is going to be in August, and it's a lot of fun, and lot's of running around! But, we are trying to keep the pressures of at bay by getting as much done as early as possible.
Wish me luck!

4/26/2010 - Updates!!! |
Here are some pretty awesome updates for all those interested. Other than the fact that i've been UNBELIEVABLY busy the past few months, we are getting things underway with the wedding. Cyn and I have chosen a date and a venue. So, as we start making more plans, i'll be sure to let those who are interested know.
On top of that, i'm still doing a lot of work on the MEDITIZE website for Rich, and also redesigning Rich's law and chemical sites. I'll throw them up on the link pages to keep them all fresh.
Beyond that, that's just about it! See you in a few more months with another vague update!

3/23/2010 - Palm Pixi |
Ok, about 2 months ago, Cyn and I got ourselves a pair of Palm Pixi's. The Palm Pixi is far above and beyond any phone I have ever used. It has the ability to have multiple apps open at the same time, and has an extremely intuitive interface.
We currently have Sprint, and this phone is now also available on Verizon and AT&T. For those of you thinking about picking up a new phone, the Pixi and the Pre are two of the best phones i've ever used.

1/5/2010 - XBox 360 Update |
Ok, so i've got a bunch of games that I haven't been playing since Modern Warfare 2 came out. Some of them are totally awesome, just haven't had the time to take the game out of my machine and replace it with one of the others. The games to play are Batman Arkham Asylum, South Park (it's a tower defense game), and Wet. All 3 are pretty awesome! Just gotta find some time to play them! If anyone wants to play South Park with me, let me know! I'm down. Just friend me on XBox Live: JakeNY376.

12/1/2009 - December is here!!! |
Normally, it's pretty cold this time of the year, but it's been a really nice fall! Soon, it will start getting colder, and the snow will start to fall! And you know what that means!?!?!?! SNOWBOARDING SEASON!!! So awesome!
I've been doing a lot of work lately, trying to get 2 businesses off the ground running, and it takes up a lot of my time! Hope everyone has an awesome holiday season!

11/11/2009 - Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is AMAZING!!! |
I've only had about 2 hours of playing time so far between last night and this morning. But, this game is SICK! When playing online, the boards are so massive, it's crazy. The gameplay is very fast paced, and something i'm not yet quite used to. The campaign is also pretty amazing, but I can totally understand why the game asks if you wish to 'skip' certain levels.
Overall, awesomeness!

Just the fact that you can now shop for caskets online at walmart is a pretty awesome scene!
Unfortunately, it's not a very happy approach to sales, but it works, and I'm sure they will be able to get some good money off of this.

8/24/2009 - Movies!!!! |
These past 2 weeks have been awesome for movies!
On Sunday the 16th, I saw District 9 with dad. It's a movie about aliens getting 'trapped' on earth because their ship ran out of gas (pretty much). The thing is, many people may not have liked it because its not your typical alien movie (Independence Day, Fire in the Sky). It doesn't put 'wonder' in your mind. It's much more dramatic, and a quite excellent story is told throughout. Gotta see it!
Yesterday (8/23/09), dad and I saw Inglourious Basterds. OMG, AWESOME! Quentin Tarantino is amazing, and his direction on this movie was absolutely stellar! Everyone in the movie played a role, and everyone played that role very well!

7/29/2009 - XBox 360 |
For all those who know me, I love to play and have a great time with whatever I do. Recently I got an XBox 360 (special edition) for my birthday, and basically, this thing is crack to me.
The biggest thing I am hooked on has got to be Call of Duty:World at War. The game is a 'first person shooter', which I have never liked. I never liked ANY first person shooter game until now. I am told that Modern Warfare is much better by so many people, but I like the extra mile that was put into creating WaW. It's got a Nazi Zombie feature which allows you to shoot zombies and run around like a freakin' maniac! The campaign mode is pretty cool too, it got me used to the controls rather quickly. Overall this game is definitely tops in my book.
More info on Nazi Zombies Here
Since I started playing WaW, I started a 'clan' that my soon to be brother in law (Drew) is recruiting people in to. We are the 'WaNg' clan, and hopefully if I get some free time, i'll be able to build a WaNg clan website for all of our members to communicate on! That would be fun!

1/25/2009 - Lion King On Brodway |
It's now Sunday, but I just got home. I decided to take Cyn out to dinner and a play for her birthday a week early. We went to Benihana in Westbury, then from there we hopped a train from Mineola to Penn, and took a taxi to see the Lion King.
It was an amazing show! If you have seen ANY Disney show, you know how they go all out on pretty much everything they ever do. From the fireworks in the Disney parks, to the Disney on Ice shows. Always amazing, and The Lion King on Broadway is nothing short of that!
Gotta get some sleep. I've got movies and some work to take care of in the morning.

1/19/2009 - Movies!!!! |
Ok, so the past few movies I've seen were pretty awesome! I'll start with the most awesome, and work down to the least awesome.
Numero Uno: Gran Torino Clint Eastwood as always was amazing, and the actors and actresses were pretty awesome also. Must See!
Number Dos: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button As always (except for Burn after reading), Brad Pitt was great. And Cate Blanchett was amazing, and is now much more attractive than I have thought in the past. Great story, great acting, lots of awards going that way.
Number C: Defiance Having a jewish background is what allowed me to enjoy this movie. Daniel Craig was good, but Leiv Schreiber was amazing!
Sorry it's been so long, but I try to keep everyone up to date as often as possible.

12/8/2008 - Back from the Poconos |
Cyn and I got back from the Poconos this weekend, and we went out there with some friends. We really had a blast.
Saturday was just a day to run around and have fun. We ended up going to a shooting range around 4 or so, and we got to shoot some guns. Cyn and Miguel shot an AK-47 for the first time, and I tell you, that thing had such a resounding boom, I felt it shake the air.
We all shot a 9mm Baby Eagle which was really easy to shoot. Cyn's accuracy was pretty much on point, and I shot my guy on the paper target in the head about 5 times out of 7 shots! Lots of fun!
It was getting kind of cold, so we decided we'd come back in the spring when it gets a little warmer so we can hang out for a longer amount of time, and blow away lots of paper targets and hanging bowling pins!
Sunday we went snowboarding, and this was Cyn's second boarding lesson since her 1st last year, and she's made quite a bit of progress!!! I'm so proud.
Jessica and Miguel also did a wonderful job for there first day on the slopes.
Hopefully i'll have pics soon.
Time for me to get back to work.

12/3/2008 - Happy Birthday!!! |
So yesterday was Britney Spears' birthday and I just wanted to say happy birthday to her because I know how much she frequents my site because i'm such a huge fan.
On another note, i'm pretty pumped about the new company I am working for, and how we are moving out to Hicksville so I don't need to drive into the city anymore!
Also, this weekend will be a weekend that I get to go snowboarding with Cyn and a few of our friends in the pocono's. First time of the season! So excited!
Every morning, i'm on the road for nearly an hour or so depending on traffic. So I listen to a lot of Z100 in the morning. If you haven't heard the interviews of David Cook or Enrique Iglesias, just follow the link. Enrique Iglesias was hilarious, and everyone should listen to this!
http://z100.elvisduran.com/pages/ondemand/interviews.html
Oh, and Cyn, Andrew and I decided to fly down to Miami to visit her brother David. While we were there, we decided to take a 3 and 1/2 hour drive up to Orlando to go to Disney. We had a great time!
When I originally went down to Disney when I was around 12, I never really enjoyed it. But at that age, we didn't really have the Disney greatness as we do now, and i've been having a blast for the past few years going down at least once, twice, or even three times a year!
Ok, time to get some rest! Have a great winter!

Ok, so we went to go see Pineapple Express yesterday. And let me tell you this, it is by far one of the funniest movies I have seen in a VERY long time. I was laughing all the way through. It started to get a little less funny towards the end, but then it got funny again at the very end of the movie. I'm not a huge fan of the Judd Apatow movies that have been coming through recently, but this one is great!

So, for my birthday I got an iPod Touch and power drill from Cyn and her family. From my family, I got some gift cards and cash. Had a great day! Even though it was on a weekday, it was still pretty awesome!

Heading out to Mountain Creek tonight with Cyn. Tomorrow morning will be Cyn's first snowboarding lesson, and the first time I get to head out to the mountain this season. I'm pretty pumped.
If I get any good pictures, i'll be sure to post them up.
And yes!!! We will be hitting Cracker Barrel before we come home.
Oh, and one other thing. Heath Ledger passed away the other day, and what's so odd is I'm actually pretty upset about this. Is it because he was a few years younger than me? Was it his acting chops? I don't know, maybe it was just because he seemed like such a great guy, that it really is a terrible loss. I thought Knight's Tale was one of my favorites.

1/7/2008 - Disney / American Gladiators |
Disney for new years was awesome! Cyn and I had a great time, and had plenty of time to do it in. Got back late on Saturday, and god it was a long and tiring day. But we did get nearly a full day at Disney in before we left.
Last night was the premier of American Gladiators. I was pretty pumped to see one of the greatest television shows ever! The only downfall to the new show is all the talking. They try getting all this information out of the contestants, but the contestants really don't have all that much to offer when it comes to entertainment. Other than that though, it's a great new take on an old favorite of mine. I will probably watch again tonight.

11/29/2007 - End of the month wrapup |
Ok, so i've been doing a massive amount of updates with ProPursuit, and we are actually doing well now. Once he have a slightly more expanded sales team, I think we will be doing even better than we are now. Once we figure out all the little bugs, we should be able to move onto our next phase.
On top of that, Cyn and I are getting ready to go to Disney at the end of December for New Years. I'm super excited about that. We will be staying in a Disney resort called Caribbean something. Not even sure what the name of the place is, I just know it's a Disney resort, and that's awesome!
I've also been a bit sick, some kind of yearly cold that I get. I'm feeling a bit better now, but last night I ended up having a double dose of NyQuil by accident. So today I was feeling really off. I'm doing much better now.
Oh yeah, and Britney Spears may be prego again! I'm so pumped! Can't wait to see how these kids get taken away from her. Maybe the courts, or maybe some sort of Guerrilla Renegades! That would be cool. Have a few Renegades dressed in camo going to save Britney's kids from their mother! Yeah, that's how i'd like to see it played out!

Also big props to Dane for hitting the 1 million friend mark on MySpace. That is a totally awesome level of sweetness. Looking at some other major pop icons of today, Jenna Jameson only has about 305,000 friends.

3/6/2006 - Funny Story |
About a year ago, there was a girl that I was introduced to who looked very familiar. It eventually ended up being a girl I dated for a few days before I left for the olympics in '96. And don't worry, I remembered her just fine about 5 minutes after we left each other's sight. We were only semi-dating, so I get a 'get out of jail free card' on that one.
Those are one of those times where you just say, WOW, it really is a small world.
Today I get an email from an old schoolmate of mine giving me a quick thanks for trying to get people to vote for her as a reporter for ripe.tv. More on that story here.
I decided to ask questions such as, where in god's name would you have ever gotten information that my website even existed? Although I do get some 'hits', I never thought it was from anyone other than me, my family, and the occassional cross dressing puppy loving pedofile. Yeah, my log says people have actually run searches on those terms, and they come up with my site somehow. Pretty weird.
Anyway, she tell's me that her friend Shari from NY passed along my site to her. Thank you Shari, for sending my well wishes out to Karla, you are great friend to let her know she has a stalker here at home.
Once again, small world.
In the long run, Karla did end up getting a gig with Ripe. Once she gives me a little more info, i'll be sure to keep everyone posted on her progress. She's a great girl, and she deserves the happiness that she is currently receiving. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Funny Story |

Here are a few must watch movies. After about 2 months of movie releases that weren't all too great. We have 2 movies that are just that (great).
Movie #1: Madea's Family Reunion
This movie was hilarious. I saw the first installment, Diary of a Mad Black Woman (on dvd), and this one was just as good if not better. Tyler Perry plays a large black woman much better than Martin Lawrence in that crap they call Big momma's house.
Movie #2: Eight Below
This was just an all around great movie. It's great for pretty much anyone. If you are a dog lover at all, this is a must see for you.

12/19/2005 - Getting busy again |
It's holiday time, and i've got more work and fun planned for the new year.
I was just chosen to do another project for Stonybrook, this time it shouldn't be nearly as crazy as the previous one. This one is just a mini presentation.
ProPursuit is nearly complete, and my guys and I should start making money by the new year.
And that's about it. As I complete my projects, i'm sure i'll be around to make some updates. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Getting busy again |
12/9/2005 - A Joke! |
A Joke from the sister in law in Texas. It's short, and quite funny.
Three guys -- a Canadian farmer, Osama bin Laden, and an American engineer - are together one day. They come across a lantern and a genie pops out of it.
"I will give each of you one wish, which is three wishes total" says the genie.
The Canadian says, "I am a farmer, my dad was a farmer, and my son will also farm. I want the land to be forever fertile in Canada."
Pooooof! In the blink of the genie's eye, the land in Canada was forever made fertile for farming.
Osama bin Ladin was amazed, so he said, "I want a wall around Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran so that no infidels, Jews or Americans can come into our precious state."
Pooooof! Again, in the blink of the genie's eye, there was a huge wall around those countries.
The American engineer asks, "I am very curious. Please tell me more about this wall".
The genie explains, "Well, it's about 5000 feet high, 500 feet thick and completely surrounds the countries. Nothing can get in or out. It's virtually impenetrable."
"Then", says the American engineer "Fill it with water!"
Pooooof!

12/6/2005 - Wow, big ups to cousin Fran |
Yeah, I know, i'm gonna get some crap for this one.
There is a website run by a guy named Tucker Max. This guy is very amusing with all of his great antics, you may have heard something on TV or radio about Miss Vermont suing him for lying on his website about the relationship they had once had a few years ago.
His site, is pretty funny, and quite wrong. But the funny out weighs the wrong, that I can't help but go back and re-read some of his stories.
Now to the reason why I even decided to write anything today. I was on The Tucker Max site, and saw a link to a place called, get this, the tard blog. And yes, it is exactly that. A blog about a teacher's day by day journal of being a special ed teacher.
I just sit and wonder, how in god's name does my cousin Fran deal with this kind of stuff? Links to follow.

11/25/2005 - I want one! |
I want one of these.
Probably headed out to see Rent in just a bit. I decided against getting up at the butt crack of dawn on black friday to do some shopping. I've been doing most of it online. So, i'm pretty much set so far this season. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to I want one! |
11/14/2005 - Movies |
A few decent movies to check out.
Derailed with Jennifer Aniston and Clive Owen. Good movie, didn't get to see the trailer so I wasn't sure what to expect.
Zathura with Tim Robbins and Dax Shepperd from Jackass. Similar to Jumanji, but with much cooler effects, and similar plotline. Family in turmoil realize what they have after the game sucks them through another dimension. Always makes for a great movie.
Chicken Little was also pretty cute. Not my style, but Michelle loved it. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Movies |

10/9/2005 - Stephen Lynch |
Next Friday Stephen Lynch is gonna be playing the North Fork Theater in Westbury (aka. The Westbury Music Fair). My cousin introduced me to his twisted comedy, and for some reason, I just find him absolutely hilarious.
I decided to go out tonight and pick up his new CD called The Craig Machine. I haven't opened it yet, because I am still waiting for the show to hear his new stuff, but I can't wait.
He is also going to be on Broadway soon (not sure which city), but he will be playing in the wedding singer on broadway. Should be pretty outrageous.
Till then, it's 3am, and I need a nap. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Stephen Lynch |
10/8/2005 - Automatic Guns |
Now everyone knows what an automatic / semi-automatic gun or rifle represents. Basically the ability to shoot a gun without needing to 'cock' a trigger, except for maybe an initial 'cock'.
A student from Boston University has put together something that is quite amazing. It's an automatic bb gun, but it actually tracks a person and their movement, and if they move it pelts the shit out of them. Check it out, this is some really cool stuff.

10/4/2005 - Gas Prices |
Ever since I purchased my Hummer H2 that I have been driving around lately, I realize how much cash is going through my gas tank. I am starting to get the feeling that money may burn even better than gas. So, i'm gonna put cash in my tank instead of gas, and see how that goes.
Anyway, my friend Debi sent out an email with a link that links up to multiple gas stations in your area, and shows you the price. It's pretty badass. Check it out.

9/29/2005 - WoW |
There is a game out there called WoW (a.k.a. World of Warcraft), it's the biggest thing. I have people on my buddy list putting away messages up that say "playing WoW". Must be an awesome game.
The way these online games work is pretty simple. You sign on, and you go beat the hell out of people on the internet. Life is grand.
What's funny is, today the company that created WoW decided to release a 'patch' (update to all mortal's out there that aren't familiar with our nerdy lingo). This patch worked a little differently than expected. Someone would get infected with this tainted blood, then as they would walk around, the disease would spread. Problem is, nearly everyone got this diseased blood on them in the game, and everyone started to die. A plague, in a video game. What's next hidden sex tapes in video games? Gosh. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to WoW |
9/21/2005 - This is going to be really cool |
This January I will probably end up going out to Las Vegas with some business partners of mine to check out the Electronics show. Should be pretty cool. While there we are hoping that the newest and most unreal attractions will be completed for our trip. Check it out for yourself. It's only a 2 hour drive from vegas.

7/18/2005 - Wedding Crashers & Willy Wonka |
Just like every Sunday I went to the movies again. Today was a little bit different though. During the day I went out to see Wedding Crashers, then I caught Charlie and the Chocolate Factory later that night.
Both movies were actually very good. Wedding Crashers was absolutely hilarious. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson were histerical together, and there was a nice little cameo of a very well known actor (who I don't really care much for, but since he was in it very briefly, I like the movie that much more). Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was great. Get your head out of the mindset of a happy upbeat movie like the previous one made in 1971. The vivid imagination of Tim Burton really made this film amazing.

7/11/2005 - Tahoe Gallery |
I am currently uploading my pictures from Tahoe over to my gallery section of the site. You can find it by clicking on the photo gallery link on the left side of the page. They should be done uploading within the next few minutes. It's currently 2:19am. I didn't want the pics to take forever to load, so I only have the smaller versions on the site. 6/26/2005 - Crazy Story |
I figure since I haven't spoken to this person in at least a year or so, i'm pretty safe that she won't visit my site. So, here it goes
I was thinking about a girl that I used to hang out with, and how cool she was. You ever meet someone, and then they just seem like totally awesome off the bat? Yeah, she was kinda like this. Then all of a sudden you realize it was all a front, or she ends up being totally crazy? Yeah, it was exactly like that.
We were sitting watching a movie, and she was telling me what she wanted to do with her life. I said, that's pretty cool. You're also a good looking girl, so it may make it a little easier to get into that kind of position (she wanted to be on TV). Well, at that point is where the horns came out, and I realized how psycho she really was. Her response was simply, you know, I hate it when people say that to me. I want the job because I am qualified not because somebody looks good. So, at this point I am totally freaked out, and kinda scared. Not sure what to do. My best thought was change the subject and all will be cool. Thank god it worked.
The point of that story is a simple one. Unfortunately, the way the world works is the people who look the best usually get things given to them a little easier. Not just the way they look, but how they dress and how they act also make a big impact.
So, if you are sitting around wondering why you are always used as some kind of doormat at the workplace. Maybe just try changing your attitude, and appearance. Things will change. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Crazy Story |
6/21/2005 - Lake Tahoe |
I just finished booking everything for Lake Tahoe today. It's going to be an awesome weekend at the mountains for July 4th. Just like last year. I'll be sure to have pictures ready for when I get back home.
On top of that, I was teaching flash last week and thought about a little project that seemed like it would be pretty fun. And I was right. I built a '360º' flash movie. Let me know what you think, and how kickass I am.

6/1/2005 - June is here |
It's June 1st. The weather is awesome. And I am starting to embark on the last leg of my Stonybrook Survey project. I should be able to get through this area of it, in a few days.
I've also just purchased my flight for Tahoe over the 4th of July weekend. It would have cost me a few hundred less, if I were to do it a month ago. It happens.
I go get back to work now. Damien's birthday is on Friday, I think we'll be doing something on Saturday night for him.
Amusing Blonde Joke
Homer, a handsome guy, walked into a sports bar around 9:58 PM.
He sat down next to this blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV.
The 10:00 news was on. The news crew was covering a story of a man on a ledge of a large building preparing to jump.
The blonde looked at Homer and said, "Do you think he'll jump?" Homer says,"You know, I bet he'll jump." The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't."
Homer placed $20 on the bar and said, "You're on!" Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy did a swan dive off of the building, falling to his death.
The blonde was very upset and handed her $20 to Homer,
saying, "Fair's fair. Here's your money."
Homer replied, "I can't take your money, I saw this earlier on the 5 o'clock news and knew he would jump." The blonde replies, "I did too; but I didn't think he'd do it again."
Homer took the money.......

5/26/2005 - Carrie Underwood |
Carrie Underwood is now the next american idol. She was pretty much everyone's favorite from the start. Bo Bice was also an awesome competitor. Over the past month or so, he had me swaying in his direction, and I thought he was actually going to pull it off.
This was a good season. Minor controversy (contestants beating up their baby's mama's, drug convictions, Paula humping one of the contestants). Great TV I tell you.
And for this next story, I am absolutely amazed on the stupid things that people do. To do a quick summary:

4/28/2005 - Mc Donalds |
Mc Donalds has got some pretty terrible food for you. This is one of the reasons that I love their breakfast. That is some totally awesome heart stopping stuff.
With that in mind, I decided to get some Mc D's for breakfast yet again today. I flipped over the placemat and there it was. Nutritional Facts! I'm not one for reading, but when you have no company and you have nothing else to do other than mess around on your phone, you find some time to do a little reading (kinda like when you are in the bathroom and you read all the labels on the cleaning products because there is nothing else interesting in there).
Well, reading a little further, I see a link to the website for this thing called Bag a meal. Weird, what's this do? Well, you gotta check it out for yourself. Here's the link.

4/27/2005 - New Design |
So i'm pretty pumped with the new design. You know how I love to use lots of lavish colors in my site. I have to archive all of my old stuff, but I'll start doing that once I get a little time.
The thing about the new site is that it is almost completely database driven. I have spent a lot of time working with asp, and thought might as well put my powers to good use. I am very impressed with how some people put together their sites, but can tend to get a little lazy when putting it together with something like 'blogger'. Not much talent needed there, especially when some people just use the built in templates.
Anyway, i'll start working on all the other pages once I get the time. Looks like this will be the lone page for now. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to New Design |

3/6/2005 - Spyware bad |
Microsoft Internet Explorer has a habit of picking up some pretty bad spyware. Microsoft has just recently released a Beta version of their spyware software, and this thing is pretty badass. If you haven't downloaded the program yet, you can get it here. Microsoft Anti-spyware Software. Let it run a few deep scans after you install and remove spyware. Might take a few shots to get it completely out, but it is really impressive.

3/4/2005 - Hello |
Still alive. Working on a monster project for Stonybrook Psych. Dept. I should be done within a month or so.
Tuesday was Michelle's birthday, so I went out to my aunts to celebrate. We had a great time, and a great dinner. Laurie and I had chicken, and almost everyone else had meatloaf. That was Michelle's dinner of choice, don't blame me. But I do hear that my aunts meatloaf is some really good meatloaf.
American Idol is pretty good this season, I only get to catch glimpses of some of the performers, but I like Carrie Underwood the best. She will probably make it to the top 5 or so.
Oh, new site is ready to go, just need to work on a few scripts to get the database working properly.

1/26/2005 - Mountain Creek |
With a last minute impulse I decided to head out to Mountain Creek yesterday with a few friends. They were kinda new to the whole "let's try the snowboarding thing". Which I remind pretty much everyone that it is going to be a day to remember (painfully speaking). One of my friends (we will call him boy) picked it up a little last season, and was hanging in there very well. Boy even learned how to turn a 360º to keep him from falling on his ass. Yet my other friend, (we will call her girl) never boarding once, picked it up by the end of the day. Girl was a total badass by the end of the day. I'm so proud.

It's like someone says, hey Jake, guess what :: insert name here :: said about you the other day. I say, let's hear it, it's gotta be good coming from :: insert name here ::.
Let's just say, I was amused and flattered by the comment. And some of these comments will last a lifetime, and just blow up that giant narcissistic head of mine.

12/11/2004 - Quick Update |
For the past 2 nights I have been working on 'blogging' software. Also known as web logging. I have a 'blog', but I don't use any special software or pre-packaged crap everyone else uses. I manually update all my pages by hand using HTML or Dreamweaver.
Now I have a created a database and login page to allow me to update the page dynamically from anywhere I want to. I just have to work out all the kinks. I guess it's the downfall to not being lazy. Wish me luck on this one. To properly implement this new system, I am going to have to go with a redesign while I am at it. To make it easier for people to navigate.
I like the site as is, but there are too many scrollbars, it even pisses me off sometimes.
