5/29/2005 - Wow | The year is 2005, and a girl by the name of Danica Patrick has a very good chance of winning the Indianapolis 500. Now, I am in no way a fan of car racing, but it is very amusing to hear the comments out of a racers mouth.
For instance, Robby Gordon (some idiot racer) said the following. "I won't race against her until the IRL does something to take that advantage away." This quote is about Danica only weighing about 100 pounds, and he believes THAT is why she is winning races.
Some people. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Wow | 9/29/2005 - WoW | There is a game out there called WoW (a.k.a. World of Warcraft), it's the biggest thing. I have people on my buddy list putting away messages up that say "playing WoW". Must be an awesome game.
The way these online games work is pretty simple. You sign on, and you go beat the hell out of people on the internet. Life is grand.
What's funny is, today the company that created WoW decided to release a 'patch' (update to all mortal's out there that aren't familiar with our nerdy lingo). This patch worked a little differently than expected. Someone would get infected with this tainted blood, then as they would walk around, the disease would spread. Problem is, nearly everyone got this diseased blood on them in the game, and everyone started to die. A plague, in a video game. What's next hidden sex tapes in video games? Gosh. jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to WoW | 12/6/2005 - Wow, big ups to cousin Fran | Yeah, I know, i'm gonna get some crap for this one.
There is a website run by a guy named Tucker Max. This guy is very amusing with all of his great antics, you may have heard something on TV or radio about Miss Vermont suing him for lying on his website about the relationship they had once had a few years ago.
His site, is pretty funny, and quite wrong. But the funny out weighs the wrong, that I can't help but go back and re-read some of his stories.
Now to the reason why I even decided to write anything today. I was on The Tucker Max site, and saw a link to a place called, get this, the tard blog. And yes, it is exactly that. A blog about a teacher's day by day journal of being a special ed teacher.
I just sit and wonder, how in god's name does my cousin Fran deal with this kind of stuff? Links to follow.

jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Wow, big ups to cousin Fran | 3/15/2006 - Wow, it doesn't get much better than this | I get an email from management about a comment that a student left the other day. The comment is as follows.
He is good, but a little full of himself.
I'm sure the guy didn't mean it in a good way, but I take it as if it were. My knowledge and strive to be the best at what I do is something I pride myself on.
So, with that, of course I am a little full of myself. I'm one of the best instructors the company has, AND I know practically everything there is to know about the web and the functionality of it.
Comments like that totally make my day! jakeny@att.net Permanent Link to Wow, it doesn't get much better than this | 9/2/2008 - Wow, no more summer |
Ok, so it seems as if summer is practically gone, but the weather sticks around and makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Cyn and I went down to Point Pleasant Beach, NJ yesterday for our anniversary that we couldn't celebrate because of the move, but we had an amazing time.
I'm just trying to put a handful of things together right now, i'll be back in a few days to say hello, and keep everyone informed.
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!
