| 3/27/2005 - Happy Car Show Day | This weekend is always the weekend of the New York Auto Show. This year was pretty badass. Oh, it also happened to be Easter today as well. So happy Easter to those who celebrate.
I got my dad a digital camera for his birthday this year, he's starting to use it quite a bit now, so i'll put some good pictures that he takes every now and again as well.
Dad's pics from Car Show | Jake's pics from Car Show
They are almost identically the same pictures.
Happy Easter. jakeny@att.net | | 3/16/2005 - Microsoft Word | I have said it before, and i'll say it again, Microsoft Word is by far the most boring and unimaginative program I have ever had to teach.
On a lighter note I spent over an hour working on an asp script that would allow me to dynamically update a database through a form. I just got home about 3 minutes ago and was able to figure out the problem just by looking at the situation again. Sometimes just stepping away for a bit gives you a much better perspective.
Today was another Katie Fuller scholarship bowl a thon. Good times, lots of fun bowling, and lots of cool friends.
I'm tired. I must awaken from my slumber in a few hours so I best be getting to bed now. Good night.
jakeny@att.net | | 3/11/2005 - Happy Birthday Mom | Today was mom's birthday, I took a picture of her cakes just for the pleasure of seeing what they looked like.
Strawberry Shortcake | Chocolate Layer Happy birthday mom!
Oh, and new pictures of my niece Victoria coming soon. jakeny@att.net | | 3/6/2005 - Spyware bad | Microsoft Internet Explorer has a habit of picking up some pretty bad spyware. Microsoft has just recently released a Beta version of their spyware software, and this thing is pretty badass. If you haven't downloaded the program yet, you can get it here. Microsoft Anti-spyware Software. Let it run a few deep scans after you install and remove spyware. Might take a few shots to get it completely out, but it is really impressive.
Your other option is to download this badass browser called Firefox. Fast, easy, and it even has some really cool bookmarking features.
Drop me an email if you have any questions. Gotta go get some work done.
jakeny@att.net | | 3/5/2005 - Totally weird | 11 years ago I started working at this place called qzar. I met A LOT of people from that job, and had a lot of fun travelling when I was with the company. Last night an old friend Jose who came home from Germany a few days ago had a nice little welcome back party in the qzar where it all started for NY. We were told to meet between 7:45 and 8, I was there playing video games around 7:30. Half hour later, the people start coming in to hang for a few hours and share some great memories.
Granted, laser tag is totally gay, but I actually forgot how much fun we used to be able to have (when we weren't getting ready for a tourny or some crap like that).
I haven't seen most of these people in years, but a great time was had by all. Priceless play of the night was shooting Matt off my chin. Oh how people forget the grandfather of Qzar NY, and all the different moves I was able to pull off on them. jakeny@att.net | | 3/4/2005 - Hello | Still alive. Working on a monster project for Stonybrook Psych. Dept. I should be done within a month or so.
Tuesday was Michelle's birthday, so I went out to my aunts to celebrate. We had a great time, and a great dinner. Laurie and I had chicken, and almost everyone else had meatloaf. That was Michelle's dinner of choice, don't blame me. But I do hear that my aunts meatloaf is some really good meatloaf.
American Idol is pretty good this season, I only get to catch glimpses of some of the performers, but I like Carrie Underwood the best. She will probably make it to the top 5 or so.
Oh, new site is ready to go, just need to work on a few scripts to get the database working properly.
K, gotta run to work. Ttys. jakeny@att.net |
